The Mumbai police have declared an “alert” after they received a letter, which is yet to be authenticated, threatening revenge for Gaza.

Hindustan Times published a report saying that Commissioner of Police Rakesh Maria had confirmed receipt of a letter making such a threat and signed “Mujahiddeen”. The Commissioner said that the letter was yet to be authenticated, but the city police had been put on alert.

The letter said among other things: “In 1993, you (Maria) got a chance. This time you won't. Stop us if you can.”
