Men from Nagaland attacked in Gurgaon, a day after similar incident in Bangalore

Two youth from Nagaland were attacked by seven men on Wednesday night in Sikanderpur in Gurgaon, state reports. The youth were attacked with bats and sticks and were allegedly warned that all north-eastern residents should leave the area. 

One of the men were pinned down while his head was shaved by the gang, reports NDTV. Sikanderpur i shame to many people from North eastern states and is just few metres away from the busy areas of Gurgaon.

According to reports, the MHA has now sought report on the incident. 

Reacting to the incident, Home Minister Rajnath Sing said any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed or religion will not be allowed.

In a similar case in Bangalore, a 26-year-old engineering student from Manipur was beaten up Wednesday night by a group of men who reportedly abused and then attacked him for not speaking in Kannada.

"I will talk to all chief ministers regarding this... any discrimination on the basis of religion, caste, creed will not be allowed," the home minister told reporters on the sidelines of the 30th Raising Day ceremony of the National Security Guards (NSG).

This alleged incident of racism comes a day after three Manipuri youth in Bangalore were beaten up by unknown miscreants who demanded that they speak Kannada.
