Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, does it ring a bell? No? How about ISIS?

Well, Baghdadi is the chief of ISIS which has been ravaging across Iraq and Syria over the last few months seeking religious authority over Muslims across the globe.

Known as the Invisible Sheikh, he has done his Ph.D in Islamic studies in Baghdad.

What’s more surprising is that he was once held by the American military in a prison compound in Iraq for four years and was released in 2009. His words to the guard while he exited the prison were, “I will see you in New York.”
