Days after the Indian High Commissioner to the UK walked out of an event in London after spotting ‘proclaimed offender’ Vijay Mallya amongst the attendees, the business tycoon has decided to keep a low profile by skipping another event.

Mallya tweeted to say that he had decided against attending spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar’s Art of Living programme at Royal Albert Hall in London as the High Commissioner would be present.

He was responding to socialite Suhel Seth’s tweet, who said he would be in conversation with Sri Sri. Incidentally, it was following Mallya’s attendance at Seth’s book launch last week that the controversy erupted. The author, however, denied inviting Mallya, stating that it was an open event.

Mallya, the owner of United Breweries and Kingfisher Airlines has been in London since March aftr failing to repay a bank loan of Rs. 9000 crores. The Indian government cancelled his passport in April.

The businessman, however, denies all charges against him.
