Three people have died after gunmen launched an attack on the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bamako, Mali’s capital on Friday.
Almost 20 Indians out of a total of 170 hostages who were held captive at the hotel, have been rescued.

— Vikas Swarup (@MEAIndia) November 20, 2015According to BBC, 170 hostages including 140 guests and 30 employees had been held captive by the attackers, the hotel’s US owners have said.
Of them, about 80 hostages have been freed.
The gunmen had reportedly shouted "God is Great" in Arabic on entering the hotel and some of the hostages were released after they could recite the verses of Quran. The Malian army told AP that about 20 hostages have been freed from the Mali hotel.
