Kim Jong-Un has his personal all-girls band, and he has sent them to China

Written by : TNM Staff

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un exports the country’s latest and only soft-power to China in an effort to boost relationship. It is none other than a band whose members were handpicked by the authoritarian leader himself.

The K-pop band called Moranbong Band would give “friendship performances” along with the State Merited Chorus- an army orchestra.

The band was formed in 2012 by the North Korean leader and his wife Ri Sol-ju who was reportedly a part of the band too.

The members of the all-girl band were seen dressed in military-styled uniforms at the Pyongyang station when they set off for their first foreign tour.
