Jayalalithaa’s health worsens, prayers pour in from well-wishers

Minutes after news broke out that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s health had worsened following a cardiac arrest on Sunday morning, Twitter was awash with messages from well-wishers. 

68-year-old Jayalalithaa has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai for the past 74 days. 

President Pranab Mukherjee said that he was distressed to learn about Jayalalithaa’s health.  

Union Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu wished TN CM a speedy recovery.

Union Minister for Urban Development, Venkaiah Naidu tweeted that he was praying for her speedy recovery.

ANI tweeted that Union Health Minister JP Nadda spoke to the Chairman of Apollo hospital to enquire about Jayalalithaa’s health condition. 

H Raja, National Secretary of BJP and Ex-MLA: 

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that she was concerned about Jayalalithaa’s health and wished her a speedy recovery. 

Former CM of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav, tweeted that he was worried about Jayalalithaa's health.

The AIADMK has tweeted that Amma was being treated by a team of experts.

Tamilisai Soundarajan, president of BJP's TN unit, tweeted that she was praying for the CM's recovery.

Leader of Opposition MK Stalin wished Jayalalithaa good health.

He said, I wish that the treatment being given to the CM should bear fruit. Wish her good health. 

DMK Chief Karunanidhi said that he wishes Jayalalitha would recover completely.
