ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has reportedly banned his group from releasing videos of executions carried out by the group, over worries about its image.

Daily Mail reported that al-Baghdadi has written to all his media offices and conveyed the instructions. This move has reportedly been initiated over worries the videos may offend Muslims, who may think that such videos would frighten children.

Videos of executions released by the ISIS have evoked strong responses from several countries and even in civil society, due to their horrific nature. The videos have acquired a macabre television serial-like quality after a person named Jihadi John, believed to be British, began to appear in them, beheading western hostages. 

Executions have been carried out by beheading, throwing people off buildings, stoning and more.
