Huma Qureshi, known for her graceful acting and avant-garde style in movies like Gangs of Wasseypur and Badlapur, makes her debut in southern cinema with ‘White’, a Malayalam movie starring Mammootty.

She plays the character of a software engineer, Roshini Menon, who moves to London for an overseas project. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she meets Prakash Roy, played by Mammootty, a billionaire settled in London. The story revolves around their atypical and complicated relationship.

Huma is pleased that she is making her Malayalam debut with superstar Mammootty.  “Mammootty is a thorough gentleman. I got to learn a lot under him of course, he’s an acting legend so it was an intimidating thought but he made it very easy to work with him,” she added.

Huma also explained how Mammootty helped her with the language that was alien to her and supported her throughout the shoot.

Directed by Uday Ananthan and produced by Eros International, the film has been shot extensively in London, Mumbai and Kochi.
