The Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha plans to install the bust of Godse at ‘public places’ in multiple cities and will write to the PM, Narendra Modi seeking his permission on Thursday, according to a report in The Hindu.

Calling him a ‘nationalist political leader’ and an ‘irreplaceable asset to the intellectual discourse of Hinduism’, the organization already has his bust in place at their Delhi headquarters at the Mandir Marg.

“The entire country has been used to seeing Mr. Godse in a bad light and viewing him as a villain. The truth is that he was journalist-editor by profession, an educated political ideologue by intellect and a nationalist in heart and spirit,” says the organization’s national president, Chandra Prakash Kaushik, told The Hindu.
