The 14th edition of the Special Olympics World Summer Games is to begin on Saturday and India has 241 participating athletes.The athletes will be competing in multiple disciplines which include Aquatics, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Bocce, Cycling, Football, Golf, Handball, Powerlifting, Roller Skating, Softball, Table Tennis and Volleyball.The athletes will be hoping for a better show, and among them is ten-year-old Devi from Madurai, the youngest of the delegation.India’s last crack at the Special Olympics was in South Korea where the country scored 46 medals. And while there were 2,200 competitors from 120 countries the last time around, the event this year will have close to 7,000 athletes from 170 countries.
