German forward Thomas Muller on Monday shared a picture of himself in the Indian team jersey along with a cricket bat in his left hand and wished good luck to participants of the ICC World Cup 2019, currently underway in England and Wales.
In his wish, Muller made special mention of Indian skipper Virat Kohli and extended good luck to Team India.
Taking to Twitter, Mueller wrote, "I wish all participants of the Cricket #WorldCup2019 good luck & thrilling matches. Especially I cross my fingers for @imVkohli, the captain of the Indian team. He's a fan of @DFB_Team and supported it multiple times in the past."

Kohli has in the past expressed his support for the German football team. A keen follower of the sport, Kohli was also recently pictured with England footballer Harry Kane.
In 2016, Kohli had extended his good wishes to the German team prior to their Euro Cup campaign. Donning the German jersey, Kohli had tweeted, "Excited for #Euro16. I'm all in with Die Mannschaft for the Euros! Which team are you supporting? #FirstNeverFollows."

Kohli-led India is slated to kick off their World Cup campaign against South Africa on Wednesday in Southampton.
South Africa have had a stuttering start to their World Cup campaign with two defeats in two matches and are looking to get back on track when they take on India.
Kohli was part of India’s World Cup winning team in 2011. He, however, struggled with the bat in the 2015 World Cup in Australia-New Zealand scoring only 305 runs in 8 innings. India lost to Australia in the semi-finals.
This is the first World Cup in which Virat Kohli is leading the side. The team's star batsmen has been tipped to be one of the leading run-scorers in the tournament.
