Flipkart apologises for sending 'sexist' email to customer

E-commerce giant Flipkart has apologised for sending an email, which reeked of sexism, to a female customer recently. 

On August 29, Twitter user Richa Kaul Padte posted a screenshot of a promotional email she had received from Flipkart. 

The post was widely shared and also criticised by social media users and on Sunday Flipkart replied to Padte's tweet saying, 

Punit Soni, Flipkart's chief product officer, also responded to Padte on Twitter and apologised on the organisation's behalf.
