Ferry with 200 passengers sinks in Bangladesh

Dhaka: A ferry with more than 200 passengers on board capsized Monday in the Padma river in Bangladesh.

Police said the Pinak-6 ferry capsized at 11.30 a.m., while it was heading towards Munshiganj's Mawa from Madaripur's Kawrakandi, bdnews24 reported.

Police and rescue teams have launched operations to save the people aboard the ill-fated ferry.
