The News Minute | October 2, 2014 | 5.37 pm ISTIt appears that the BJP is not averse to forming a post-poll alliance with the Shiv Sena, even though their 25-yar-old pre-poll alliance collapsed over seat-sharing.According to a Hindustan Times report, union minister Nitin Gadkari told reporters that the BJP could “certainly think of” of a post-poll alliance if the situation demanded it. He said: “Shiv Sena has been our ally bound together on the base of Hindutva.”Even as he ruled out “ifs and buts” and said that the BJP would get a majority, Gadkari said that the BJP had the same “love” for Bal Tackeray as it did for Atal Behai Vajpai.Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, however, was not as magnanimous. He accused the BJP of having “used” the Sena to come to power at the centre, and discarding the party for the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
