A grief-stricken Odiya family was about to cremate the body of one of its members who was killed in the Chennai building collapse. And then, miraculously, 65-year-old Sukadev Raut’s phone rang. His son Prakash called and said he was alive.

According to a report published in The Times of India, Raut and his family were about to cremate a badly mutilated body which they thought was their son Prakash’s.

Prakash hails from Rajapur in Kendrapada district. Somehow, a body though to be Prakash’s had been sent to Swargadwar in Puri from where his family collected it. Prakash was miraculously rescued from the building collapse in Chennai after 72 hours.
