Censorship: Is this how these paintings would look if aired on Indian TV?

Written by : TNM

See no evil. Do no evil. While not getting into the semantics of what qualifies as evil, some TV channels in India have taken to blurring body parts which they deem “objectionable”. The following images have been taken by viewers of certain channels who have resorted to such censorship.Cleavage blurred by Romedy Now Cleavage blurred by Movies Now                                                                                                                                                                                          Image Courtesy: Reddit India                                                                                                                                                                                   How it affects the psyche of a viewer aside from making them more “curious” may be debatable. But what if some of the channels above resorted to carrying paintings by some distinguished Indian artists?Going by how the blurring of “objectionable body parts” happens, we at TNM decided to help the channels if they ever decided to air these paintings. Here are a few paintings which have now ceased to be objectionable to any audience:Mother and Child by Raja Ravi Varma Seduction of Vishwamitra by Raja Ravi Varma Fresh from bath by Raja Ravi Varma    Girl playing with a ball by Raja Ravi Varma  By MF HussainMother and Child by Rukmini VarmaMohini Beguiling Bhasmasura by Rukmini VarmaVishwamitra Menaka by Rukmini Varma Original paintings by Raja Ravi Varma,  MF Hussain and Rukmini Varma.
