The Class 12 accountancy paper of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reportedly been leaked. The matter came to light minutes before the students went into their halls to appear for the examination.

The paper was scheduled for 10.30 am on Thursday. It allegedly leaked via WhatsApp from New Delhi. When the paper began to do the rounds is yet to be confirmed.

Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia confirmed on Thursday that he had received complaints about the issue.

“Received complaints about the Class 12 CBSE Accountancy paper being leaked. Have asked officers of Directorate of Education to investigate and lodge a complaint with CBSE.

Swift action must be taken, so that hard-working students don't suffer due to negligence of CBSE,” he tweeted.

According to the Indian Express, Sisodia received the paper on Thursday, which he cross-checked.

“I had asked the Secretary and Directorate of Education to check and it is confirmed, the questions match with Set-II,” he told Indian Express.

The Board, however, denied the leak and said that all seals were found intact.

"During process of exam, however, at local level some miscreants have tried to play mischief by circulating messages through whatsapp & social media to disturb sanctity of examinations.CBSE has decided to take strict action against such activities.FIR is being lodged by CBSE," the Board told ANI.

Reactions began to pour in on social media after Sisodia confirmed he had received a complaint.

The board exams for class XII began on March 9, and will go on till April 29.
