From Cauvery dispute to parottas, actor-politician Vijayakanth shares his views

Written by : TNM Staff

Politicians, actors and other celebrities have all spoken about the Cauvery issue, sharing their views and requesting people to remain calm and not indulge in violence.

Actor-turned-politician Vijayakanth, or Captain as he’s popularly known, was not to be left behind.

Speaking at an event organized for Bakrid at Attur in Salem district, Tamil Nadu, DMDK Chief Vijayakanth said that he did not understand why brothers should fight like this. In his characteristic style, he accused the DMK and the AIADMK for not resolving the crisis and harping on the same issue for a hundred years.

Captain pointed out the same thing was happening with the fishermen’s issue. He went on to state that if people from other countries saw that there was no unity within the country, they’d take the opportunity to attack India.

Vijayakanth also spoke about his political decisions and love for parottas.
