BJP claims membership has crossed 10 crore people

The BJP on Thursday tweeted state-wise statistics on its party membership, claiming nearly 10.5 crores people had registered with the party. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state of Gujarat witnessed the largest number of enrollment with 1.1 crore people joining the party. Uttar Pradesh - Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh - Chattishgarh and Maharashtra - Goa had also witnessed a huge boom with more than 1 crore members joining the party.State-wise statistics of BJP membership drive. #BJPLargestParty pic.twitter.com/vsUmXCvCnl — BJP (@BJP4India) April 30, 2015The BJP launched its membership drive on November 1 last year which enabled people to become members by simply calling on a number provided.
