PM Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande have released Bangalore-based musician Ricky Kej’s new music album at the climate change summit in Paris.

The album described as world music for environmental consciousness is titled ‘Shanti Samsara’. It contains verses in Sanskrit and features voices of superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Hollywood actor Frances Fisher and BAFTA award winner Rosanna Arquette.

Ricki said, “A heartfelt thanks to him for helping me channelise my creativity and art towards making a difference and for giving me perspective on what the world needs -- environmental consciousness,” Ricky said. “It feels like I have been a musician just so that I could see this day... to see my music hopefully make a small difference in this world.”

Grammy award winner Wouter Kellerman, country music star Gary Nicholson and Canadian singer Jennifer Gasoi have contributed to the album.

Folk music from India Algeria, Senegal has been incorporated in the album besides the voices of singers Hariharan and Shankar Mahadevan.

Ricky Kej had won the Grammy award earlier this year in the ‘Best New Age’ category for his album “Winds of Sansara” along with South African flautist Wouter Kellerman.
