Bajaj Auto has officially launched the new CT110 commuter motorcycle in India in two variants - Kick start and Electric start at a price of Rs. 37,997 and Rs. 44,480 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. The bike has been positioned above the CT100 and below the Platina 100 and is available in three stylish colours viz., Matte olive green with yellow decals, Gloss ebony black with blue decals and Gloss flame red with bright red decals.

At the launch event, Sarang Kanade, President - Motorcycle Business said, “The CT range was conceptualised for those customers who demand a robust bike at a reasonable price. Till date, more than 50 lakh customers are riding the CT and appreciate it for its durability and outstanding mileage. We have continuously invested in the product both in terms of technology and style without losing the core value of delivering the Best Value Motorcycle on the Indian roads. We believe that the tough new CT 110 provides an even better value with superior performance - a great combination of mileage and power - all at an attractive price.”

The engine powering the new Bajaj CT110 is the same 115cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, DTS-i unit that powers the Platina 110. It produces 8.6bhp power at 7,000rpm and 9.81Nm of torque at 5,000rpm thus ensuring a great ride even on inclines. Power to the wheels gets transmitted via an all-down gearshift type 4-speed gearbox. The bike offers an excellent ride without any compromise on the great mileage the CT brand is known for.

The bike gets a fresh appeal with a new set of decals and the blacked-out treatment seen on the engine, gearbox, suspension, handlebar, grab rail and the alloy wheels. For safety purpose, it gets equipped with stronger and bigger crash guards, rubber covers for the rear-view mirror stalks, a raised ground clearance, an upswept exhaust and “semi-knobby” tyres that enable a firm and stable grip on the toughest of roads.

CT110 also provides comfortable seating, with a long, thick padded seat and rubber tank pad for snug seating posture. The new CT110 will be appreciated by both rural and city riders who want a bike that is built stronger. The bike comes with Anti-Skid drum brakes at both ends while the suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear.

In terms of competition, the new Bajaj CT110 will take on the likes of the Hero HF Deluxe and the TVS Sport.
