The News Minute| January 6, 2015| 12.03 pm ISTIn an attempt to tackle the rising number of crimes against women, the Srinagar police have deployed an all women police flying squad in sensitive areas, according to a report in the Indian Express.According to the report the police have deployed squads in parts of the city where there are a prominent number of coaching centres.The all women police flying squad have been deployed in the coaching hub of Parraypora and Baghat areas to ensure safety for the girls studying in the coaching centres.In cases of stalking, harassment, teasing or any unwanted advancement by delinquents the girls students can approach any of the female constables for instant assistance, said the report.According to the report the all women flying squad was deployed only after it was discovered that some victims felt uncomfortable to talk on such sensitive issues with the opposite sex.
