After being subject to a stone-pelting incident while conducting an anti-drug rally in Delhi, reports mention that AAP MLA Alka Lamba is expected to be booked for trespassing. Lamba was conducting the rally close to the Inter-State Bus Terminus in Delhi where she was wounded after a 19-year-old boy allegedly threw a stone at her from a shop. The AAP alleged inaction on the part of the Delhi Police, saying that three officers were with Lamba when she was attacked.Party leader Ashutosh suggested that the police had not acted since the shop was apparently owned by BJP MLA OP Sharma. The Delhi police had said that Lamba had been forcing vendors in the area to shut-shop early morning and that was not her job, but the MCD’s.In a fresh twist to the plot however, CCTV footage from the inside the shop has emerged. The NDTV video clearly shows Lamba overturning plates at the shop. The footage also shows an AAP volunteer in action. Video of LAvgDfmp9JATimes Now also released another video which shows Lamba pushing a shop-keeper. The AAP however, has stuck to its guns. Lamba has said that the video was taken after she had been hit by the stone and questioned why there was no footage of her being hit. AAP’s Ashutosh defended the MLA and re-iterated what she said, but also questioned if the Delhi Police hadn’t taken action because the shop was owned by Sharma. He also took to Twitter:I was expecting. No action against O P Sharma. But Alka will be booked despite being attacked. What more one can expect from Modi police. — ashutosh (@ashutosh83B) August 10, 2015Sharma has reacted to the entire matter though. He says that Lamba is a “drug-addict” who will “go back in a stretcher” if she returns to that area in north-Delhi.
