Jakarta: Rescuers have found 90 bodies of victims of crashed AirAsia plane from Indonesia's waters, rescuers said Tuesday.

"So far, as many as 90 corpses have been discovered," said Nurul Karlina, official in charge at National Search and Rescue Office.

Search and rescue operation continues and is now undertaken by rescuers from the office and local divers, though Indonesian navy has pulled out its divers, Xinhua quoted her as saying.

The AirAsia QZ8501 jet plane crashed in waters between Riau province and Kalimantan province December 28 en route from Surabaya, Indonesia's second largest city, to Singapore. All 162 people on board were killed.

Investigators said the French co-pilot was flying the plane and was acting as the monitoring pilot before the crash.
