Woman who identified Jisha’s killer had told TNM that she had seen him running away

In the identification parade held on Monday, one of Jisha’s neighbours, a key witness in the case, has identified the accused Ameerul Islam as the man who had fled from Jisha's house on April 28.

Earlier in an interaction with The News Minute, she had reiterated her statement to the investigation team, that she had seen a man wearing a yellow shirt go out of Jisha’s house.

According to reports, the witness identified the accused in an identification parade that lasted an hour and a half at Kakkanad district jail on Monday.

She had earlier informed the police that she had seen a man running out of Jisha’s house on April 28. Later, the investigation team prepared suspect’s sketch based on the eyewitness accounts.
