Will end political career if allegations against me proved: Oommen Chandy

Written by : TNM Staff

A day after solar scam accused Biju Radhakrishnan accused Kerala CM Oommen Chandy of receiving sexual favours from co-accused Saritha S Nair, Chandy declared in the Kerala Legislative Assembly that if any such allegation is proved right, he will end his political life.

“Biju seems to be singing a different tune altogether now. It maybe because he has to stand trial before the  law. The government has always adopted an unbiased attitude in the solar case. “ the CM said.

Chandy was replying to the notice brought by Opposition MLA EP Jayarajan seeking an adjournment motion on the issue.

Jayarajan also mentioned in the notice that till date no Chief Minister of the state had faced such an allegation.

Since Thursday morning, the Opposition has been vociferously seeking the CM's resignation in the Assembly.

On Wednesday, Biju Radhakrishnan  in his statement before the Solar Commission said that he had visual proof of six prominent politicians receiving sexual favours from Saritha which included the Chief Minister
