So did the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi get his membership in the BJP by giving a missed call? Apparently so, according to the Kerala BJP chief V Muraleedharan.

Speaking at a press meet in Kozhikode on Friday, Muraleedharan said he himself took membership in party using the missed call facility and so did PM Modi.

The BJP leader was answering questions by reporters on the comeback of senior leaders P P Mukundan and K Raman Pillai to the BJP.

“Anybody can join BJP through a missed call; everybody joins the party like that. I have joined the party through the missed call facility. Even Prime Minister took a membership by giving a missed call. So same way they can also take membership,” he said.

Sources say behind the BJP chief's sarcastic reply was his insecurity and unhappiness over these leaders joining back the party.

Raman Pillai, who was an RSS worker for 50 years had quit and formed a party of his own and allied with CPI (M). PP Mukundan who was also a BJP leader had been inactive in the party for a while.

In a recent interview Mukundan had called for a change in state party leadership and said that BJP should be ready for social experiments in Kerala. 

Whether Narendra Modi did give a missed call or not, we will never know. Actually we are pretty sure that those were not days of missed calls. But it seems Muraleedharan is hell bent on playing down the re-joining of the two leaders.
