Veteran Congress leader A Nafeesath Beevi, who also served as the deputy speaker of the Kerala Assembly, passed away at a private hospital in Thiruvanthapuram on Monday evening, the party said. She was 91. Nafeesath Beevi is survived by three daughters and a son. Her husband had passed away before her in 1986.  Elected to the second Kerala Assembly in 1960, she was elected the deputy speaker.
