T Siddique resigns as KPCC General Secretary over domestic violence allegations

Congress leader T Siddique on Sunday resigned from the post of General Secretary of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) following a complaint filed against him by his former wife for domestic violence.Siddique told the media that he will not be involved in party work until he gets acquitted of the charges levelled against him and added that he would return soon.In a recent Facebook post he had also alleged that the complaint filed against him by his ex-wife Naseema was part of a conspiracy.In the post he mentioned that Wayanad MP MI Shanavaz was behind the allegations that were raised against him.Earlier Naseema had alleged that Siddique had ditched her to marry his secret lover.
