Singer Yesudas says women wearing jeans forces people to look at other parts of body

The News Minute| October 2, 2014| 5.00 pm ISTThe moral policing bug seems to have hit veteran singer KJ Yesudas, who has declared that he feels unhappy when he sees women wearing jeans. The actor has stirred up a buzz after he voiced his criticism against women wearing jeans. The singer was inaugurating a campaign - “Clean Kerala, Beautiful Kerala” at the Swati Thirunal Music College in Thiruvananthapuram.The singer said that it makes him unhappy to see women wearing jeans and and “disturbing” people around them. He added- “If a woman wears jeans we are forced to look at other parts as well and hence, please make sure that you hide all that should be hidden”. He further went on to say that seeking attention this manner may eventually invite “unwanted troubles”.Yesudas, who is 74 years old is one of the most respected singers in Kerala and has had a long and fulfilling singing career. He has three sons Vijay, Vinod and Vishal.  Vijay Yesudas is also a sought after musician in the industry, whose wife, Darsana Yesudas happens to be a costume designer. Reports say that the singer’s statement was welcomed with much enthusiasm by the boys in the college. We are pretty sure that the girls were just dumbstruck.
