Singer Radhika Thilak passes away

Malayalam playback singer Radhika Thilak (45) died on Sunday at a private hospital in Ernakulam.
 
The singer, who has sung about 70 songs in different films, was one of the very popular singers in Doordarshan and Akashavani in 1990s.
 
Thilak, the most sought after stage artist of the time, died due to the cancer.
 
'Devasangeetham' ('Guru' - 1997), 'Aruna Kirana Deepam' ('Guru' - 1997), 'Kaithapoo Manamenthe' (Sneham - 1998), 'Manassil Mithuna Mazha' (Nandanam - 2002) and 'Vennakkalil Ninne Kothi' (Pattalam - 2003) are some of the most memorable songs sung by Thilak.
 
She is survived by her husband Suresh and daughter Devik. Well-known singers Sujatha and G Venugopal are her relatives.
