Pinarayi Vijayan’s birthday was a secret all these years, something he never revealed to even his close aides. Though in all the official records, including in the election affidavit, his birthday is recorded as March 21, 1944, he had always said that it was wrong.

Just a day before his swearing-in as Chief Minister of Kerala, comrade Pinarayi has revealed that his real birthday is May 24, 1944. On Tuesday morning in a press meet Pinarayi has revealed that it is his 72nd birthday. 

In the past, whoever asked him about his real birthday, he asked them not to go looking for it, and said that March 21 was a date given by his teachers in school records because most students had their birthdays in March during those years.

Well, that's one mystery solved in the annals of Kerala's political history.
