RSS leader murder: Kerala police probing commando wing of CPM

The News Minute| September 8, 2014| 10.00 am ISTThe Crime Branch of Kerala Police has revealed that they are probing a commando wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) party as a part of the investigation into the murder of RSS leader Manoj Kumar on 1 September in Kannur. The team of investigators have zeroed in on two numbers in the Ukkasmotta region of Kannur which they say could be of those who murdered the RSS functionary Manoj Kumar, reported the Malayala Manorama.20 members of the commando wing have been absconding since the day of the murder. 8 people have been named by the police for the murder but, none have been arrested. One among them is V. Vikraman, who is a confidant of a top CPM leader in Kannur.The Crime Branch has revealed this just a day after the Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala announced that the case will be transferred to the CBI.
