Rahul Pasupalan posts selfie under police custody, probe ordered

Written by : TNM Staff

Police have reportedly ordered a probe to find out how Rahul Pasupalan, the kiss of love activist who was later arrested for online sex racket case, posted a selfie with his co-accused Akbar on Facebook while in police custody.

As per The Times of India report he posted the photograph with a caption “70th day of crucifixion for nothing', albeit with several spelling mistakes.

“Interestingly, both are handcuffed together in the photo uploaded. They may have snapped the picture and uploaded it during their transit to Bengaluru, where they were taken on Wednesday to be produced before the court there. Since the gang members caught here are also arraigned as accused in a case registered by Bengaluru police, they are taken to the city frequently to be produced before the court for extending the remand period,” a police officer told ToI.

IG S Sreejith, who lead the operation in which Rahul and his wife Reshmi R Nair were arrested, reportedly said that the photograph was in his timeline only for 16 mins.

He said that the police will inquire more about it.
