Writer and politician Sarah Joseph who was one of the big names associated with the Aam Aadmi party in Kerala has resigned as the party’s state convenor.

Though few reports suggested that she had quit over disagreements with the party, Sarah Joseph told The News Minute that she will continue to work for the party and the resignation was as per her agreement with the AAP.

“When the AAP was set up in Kerala, the understanding was that I would be the state convenor for a year, until the party can set up a system of electing its leaders from within the party. Since my one year was over, I submitted my resignation in October, but the party needed more time. And it is only now that they accepted it,” she told TNM.

“There is no difference of opinion,” she added.
