Proposal for KINFRA's defence park in Kerala gets nod

  The Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) said on Monday that the central government's department of industrial policy and promotion has approved its proposal to set up a defence park at Palakkad as part of the Make in India- Make in Kerala project. This project is under the Modified Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (MIIUS), Kinfra said it in a press release here. It said the project is intended to create a defence park with all modern common infrastructure facilities exclusive for the component manufacturers of defence industry with assistance from the central government under MIIU Scheme. Kinfra has earmarked 60 acres of land for setting up the park which is expected to cost Rs. 231.35 crore, with a central assistance of Rs.50 crore.  With IANS
