Perumbavoor rape and murder victim Jisha’s father has rubbished UDF Convener PP Thankachan’s claim that Jisha’s mother did not work for him as a domestic help.

Jisha’s father Pappu said that his wife Rajeswari had worked in PP Thankachan’s house for many years.

Pappu further said that he did not know why Thankachan would deny the fact now.

Human rights activist Jomon Puthenpurackal had earlier alleged in a letter submitted to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan that Jisha was the daughter of the Congress leader and had approached Thankachan shortly before her death asking for a share of his assets. Jomon had also hinted at Thankachan’s involvement in Jisha’s murder.

Heavily coming down on Jomon, Thankachan denied any connection with Jisha’s murder.

He also denied the allegation by Jomon that Jisha’s mother had worked as a domestic help at his house for 20 years. The UDF convener also told the media that he met Rajeswari for the first time only after Jisha’s murder.

Meanwhile a complaint against Jomon in Pappu’s name, given to the police, also pointed a finger at the Congress leader.

Pappu claimed that another local Congress leader had taken his signature promising him that he would be given some financial help. “But later I came to know that he was cheating, he gave a police complaint in my name,” Pappu said.
