Remember the case against director Jean Paul Lal and three others including actor Sreenath Bhasi for using a body double for an actor without her consent? Well, it’s likely that the case sees an out of court settlement, as the complainant has now informed a local court that she doesn’t want to proceed further with the case.

The case was filed against the director and others based on a complaint filed by actor Meghna Nair, at the Panangad police station in Ernakulam, alleging that the director had used a body double in a way that was intended to harm the actor's reputation.

Police had found in the preliminary investigation that the filmmakers did indeed use a body double without the complainant’s permission.

As per recent reports, Meghna has informed the district additional sessions court that she has reached an out of court settlement in the case. The court reportedly asked the complainant to file an affidavit with her statements.

Meanwhile, considering Jean Paul’s anticipatory bail plea, the court directed the police not to arrest him till August 16.
