O Rajagopal slams Kerala CM for stating that RSS trained children to kill

O Rajagopal, the sole BJP legislator in Kerala Assembly, flayed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday for his remarks that RSS was behind the murder of Mahatma Gandhi.

Rajagopal also urged speaker Sreeramakrishnan to expunge Pinarayi’s allegations against RSS from the Assembly records.

“It would be an injustice if the remarks are not expunged,” the senior BJP leader said.

The Kerala CM on Tuesday also said that under the guise of conducting exercise drills, the RSS was giving arms training in schools and temples and teaching children to kill.

Pinarayi’s comments came while he was giving a reply to MLA John Fernandez. He also said that that when a child joined the RSS, neither his humanity nor cultural consciousness got enhanced.

He even went to the extent of saying that RSS has been perpetrating violence in order to cause communal disturbances. “Even students and children are given training to kill.”

Rajagopal went on the offensive against Pinarayi even after the Speaker’s request not to spoil the cordial mood in the Assembly, as it was a special session marking the 60th anniversary of the first cabinet, reports The New Indian Express.

The Assembly session on Thursday was convened in the old Assembly Hall at the Secretariat, which is the administrative headquarters of the state.

Rajagopal, MLA representing Nemom constituency, said that the Chief Minister was taking advantage of his legislative immunity to attack RSS.

“He was trying to mislead the people by making baseless allegations,” Rajagopal said and added, “Three Judicial Commissions and the Supreme Court had cleared the RSS of the charge of killing Gandhiji”.
