Mohanlal won't take back Lalisom refund he gave govt

The News Minute | February 7, 2015 | 1.00 pm ISTAfter a meeting with actor Mohanlal , Kerala sports Minister Thiruvanjoor Radhaksrishnan on Saturday told media that the actor will not take back the money which he had returned to the government , following the controversies over his music band Lalisom's show at the inaugural of the 35th National Games.Thiruvanjoor Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Oommen Chandy met the actor at his residence in Kochi on Saturday morning for a compromise talk. Though the cabinet decision was not to accept the money, Mohanlal was firm in his decision to return it. “We respect his (Mohanlal) decision. CM will decide what to do with the amount. Many have tried to tear me down with help of National Games controversies” Thiruvanjoor saidMohanlal, who was criticized heavily on social media over the performance of his music band 'Lalisom' at the opening ceremony of the National Games, had earlier offered to return his remuneration.Later he had sent a cheque of Rs. 1,60,00,000 to the government seeking an end to the controversies.Tweet
