Written by : TNM

A former MLA and minister in the previous Left Democratic Front government has said that Malayalam film actresses “reveal too much of their body” for attention, even as they are “ignorant” of the art of acting.A prominent member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) G Sudhakaran made these remarks at a book launch in Thiruvananthapuram. An Asianet report quoted him as saying: “Some of our actress seem to think that dressing with less clothes will get them more attention.”Sudhakaran was also dismissive of them and said that actresses today are “ignorant” of the art of acting.  He added that the evolving trends in dressing and lifestyle were taking over our culture too. G Sudhakaran served as the Minister of Co-operation, Coir and Devaswom back in 2006, when the Left was in power.
