The News Minute | October 29, 2014 | 11:34 am IST Organisers of 'Kiss of Love', a campaign in Kerala to protest against moral policing in the state, were attacked by two unknown people at Marine Drive in Kochi. The group claims that it was attacked by some unidentified moral police during a recent press meet the former had organized regarding the event. "We had called a press meet to clarify misnomers that was spreading on social media regarding the event. It was being said that people taking part in the event could kiss any other protestor. That was not the idea. We asked people to come as couples”, said Rahul Pashupalan, short-film maker and one of the organisers of the event. "While the press meet was going on, two people who claimed they were Congress members, but they looked like goons, attacked six of us and took our placards away”, he added. The group also is unsure whether the police will give them permission to hold the November 2 event.  “We have asked the police for permission, but we have been told that permission has been denied, though we have not received any official response from them yet."The 'Kiss of Love' is an event scheduled for November 2 in Marine Drive which has asked protestors to come kiss and hug and send a message to moral police.
