Narcotics cell assistant commissioner Joseph Saju PM gave a similar request a month ago. The police also have submitted a chemical report to substantiate their stand. The chemical analysis found the presence of titanium and hydrocarbon in whiteners and these are harmful for health, the police said. The sale of the product can be banned under Section 133 (i)(b) of the CrPc.
