In a shocking revelation, Kerala police said the 42-year-old man who was killed in a case of moral policing was left to bleed for almost two hours after he was beaten by a group of five men.

These gruesome details have emerged a day after Nasir Hussain was killed by four to five men in Malappuram district in Kerala.

Nasir was killed by acquaintances after he was spotted leaving the residence of a married woman who was living alone in the Mangada area of the district.

“The assault happened at around 2.30 am, but people in the neighbourhood were alerted by his cries around 3.45am. We got a call only after 4.00 am. It seems the assailants had assaulted him and were inside with him in the room as he was bleeding. They only fled when people gathered outside at a later point, “one of the investigating officers told The News Minute.

The attackers also called Nasir’s friend Lateef on the phone and told him to come and watch the assault. “They were inside with him; they did not let him be taken to a hospital. They let him bleed,“  said.

According to the latest TV reports, four of the accused have been arrested after initially seven people were detained.

This incident comes close on the heels of several other such similar incidents of moral policing in the district and state.
