A Kerala High Court judge on Monday made two police personnel to stand in the courtroom form the morning to afternoon and asked them to write the duties of police officers by referring the police manual as ‘imposition’ as punishment for their misbehaviour.

Justice PD Rajan summoned civil police officers of Ernakulam Hill Palace police station Satheesh Babu and KR  Raju Nath to do so after the two policemen allegedly misbehaved with the judge when the former visited Thripponithura temple on Sunday.

The Times of India reports that the judge was wearing a shirt and a dhoti and had arrived in his private car, without being escorted by security officers, so the constable did not identify him.

The judge asked these policemen to call the doctor of the temporary clinic set up in temple premises.  The judge's wife is a doctor at the clinic.

As they did not identify the Judge the constables are said to have asked the judge for his name to inform the doctor as to who is the visitor. The judge reportedly told them that they need not know his name and had asked them to do what he said. Then one of the officers reportedly addressed the judge as chetta (elder brother) and told him that he can himself visit the doctor.

While returning judge asked them their PC numbers and name. Following this incident the judge summoned them to his court room and made them stand the whole morning and made them write a portion of the Kerala Police Act as imposition.
