Taking on the BJP that has taken out 'Janaraksha Yatra' to expose political violence of the CPI (M), the Left party launched a nationwide counter campaign against the BJP.

A satyagraha was organised as part of the campaign, launched on Monday, in Kannur in which families of the martyrs and the victims of alleged Sangh Parivar brutality participated.

CPI (M) central committee member and MLA EP Jayarajan who inaugurated the campaign, said that the BJP was trying to polarise the society as they are aware that they won't be able to come to power at the Centre again.

BJP's Janaraksha Yatra was kicked off from Payyanur in Kannur on October 3, with national president Amit Shah inaugurating the Yatra.

Jayarajan also alleged that the youth of the nation are against the RSS and he warned parents not to send their children to the RSS sakhas.

The CPI (M) also alleged that the country-made bomb attack on a party rally in Kannur, in which more than ten people including a few policemen were injured, was the result of the Janaraksha Yatra.

Jayarajan also visited the Congress office, Rajiv Gandhi Culture Centre at Edakkad which also came under attack on Sunday night, reportsTimes of India.

CPI (M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan inaugurated a public convention against RSS-BJP attacks on CPI (M) cadres in the state, in Thiruvananthapuram. He accused the BJP-RSS combine of trying to dislodge the Left Democratic Front government in Kerala through a second 'Liberation Struggle', reports The Hindu
