Kerala BJP says it’s open to alliance with KM Mani for local governance

BJP’s Kerala unit has announced that the party is ready for an alliance with any political parties except Congress, CPI (M) and Muslim League in local self-government rule.

The party state Chief V Muraleedharan told media on Monday that party is also ready for an alliance with Kerala Congress Mani group [KC (M)].

“Bar bribe scam is against KM Mani not against KC (M). The party is not involved in the scam, so we can cooperate with them,” Muraleedharan said.

BJP leaders has also said that CPI (M) rebels who won in Kerala Civic polls has also approached BJP and the party is yet to take a final call.

However hitting out at BJP CPI (M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that BJP has double face, that it acts opposite to what it speaks.

“BJP state leadership should apologise its youth workers, who were assaulted by police for protesting against KM Mani and seeking his resignation, as now BJP seeks an ally with KC (M), ” Balakrishnan told media.
