The News Minute | July 2, 2014 | 8:28 AM IST Days after the Kerala government decided to include names of some secondary victims in the list of endosulfan affected people, the state has now announced further measures to compensate the victims.Around 337 Victims detected with cancer, polio and other permanent disabilities will now be given compensation by the state. These patients were identified at a camp held in 2013.Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has announced that the state plans to start a rehabilitation village for endosulfan victims.The state has also asked officers to find out debts owned by endosulfan victims. The government says its will provide vocation training to victims, increase pensions and give free treatment to childre.Though the state has announced a slew of measures, it remains to be seen how much is actually achieved.
