Written by : TNM Staff

One more suspect was nabbed on Tuesday from Kannur in connection with the murder of 30-year-old law student from Perumbavoor. According to reports, the suspect is believed to be Jisha’s neighbour and was arrested from a restaurant in Kannur, where he had started working as a cook only two days ago.

Reports say that he bears similarity to the suspect’s sketch that was drawn based on eyewitness accounts.

A total of seven suspects have been taken into police custody so far, including two of Jisha’s neighbours. ADGP K Padmakumar told media that he couldn’t confirm who the actual culprit is.

The police had earlier ruled out the possibility of gang-rape and confirmed that not more than one killer is involved.

Jisha was brutally killed on Thursday at her home in Perumbavoor.
